Inspecti-Gator
Inpecti-Gator is a board game that I worked on with a group. I contributed to the Game and Systems design as well as card art.
In Inspecti-Gator, you and an opponent play as murderous alligator detectives investigating each other. The objective is to be the first to deduce the other player's Murder Weapon, Motive, Victim, and Location of crime. Move around the city, collecting witnesses to help you correctly deduce your opponent's crime.

Deduction Mechanic
For this game, I designed a deduction system which involves players asking their opponent questions to eliminate possible Weapons, Motives, Victims, and Locations.
My primary inspiration was the game Clue, which uses a similar process of elimination. The first iteration involved a system where players could ask question cards to eliminate certain proof cards and deduce the final set of evidence for the murder.
In the example above, if a question is answered "yes" to by the other player, it allows you to connect the proof cards together until you've determined all the categories of the murder.
Any questions answered "no" to eliminates the category.
Before the question "Do you own a knife?" was asked, the player might assume that the crime would involve a slow death. However, since they confirmed that their opponent does NOT own a knife, this cannot be a part of the final deduction.
We knew going in there was a possibility for multiple solutions to pop up so we added a mechanic which allowed players to reveal certain parts of the other player's murder using witness tokens spread around the board.
